The Axzion Upending Tool enables the safe and efficient installation of monopiles in the offshore wind industry.
Thanks to its modular construction, high process reliability and efficient handling, the system is perfectly suited to a wide range of monopile diameters, as well as to both flangeless and flanged monopiles.

Efficiency and Safety in Monopile Installation
The Axzion Monopile Gripper and Upending Tool is compatible with all standard monopile diameters up to 8 meters and can be used for flangeless monopiles weighing up to 1,800 tons and flanged monopiles weighing up to 2,100 tons. Its modular construction allows flexible adaptation to different requirements and projects.
With a dead weight of 105 t (WLL 1,500 t) and 120 t (WLL 2,100 t), the system offers an optimized dead weight-to-load ratio.
The design is optimized for use with a single crane and ensures controlled handling even when the monopile is in an unfavorable position.
Optimized lifting times of 60 to 90 minutes and an upending time of just 10 to 15 minutes enable efficient installation.
An intelligent control system and redundant drives ensure high operational reliability even under challenging offshore conditions. Three hydraulic gripper arms with self-locking clamps ensure secure gripping and erecting of the monopiles.
Wireless control and integrated camera systems enable precise control and improve control throughout the entire installation process.
A dynamic clamping system ensures optimized load transfer to the flange area. Optional lower clamps and the patented system solution help reduce mechanical stress and extend the service life of the components.
