DIN EN 13155:2026 introduces changes to the requirements for testing and documenting load-handling equipment. The focus is particularly on load tests and the specified number of load cycles.

What does this mean for verification?
Up to 16,000 Load Cycles
For up to 16,000 load cycles, a load test is required. Depending on the application, additional verification may be required.
More than 16,000 Load Cycles
Both a structural analysis and a load test are required. In addition, a fatigue assessment in accordance with EN 13001 is required.
The load test thus becomes a central component of the verification process.

More than just a load test
Depending on the testing requirements, we can supplement the load test with additional services. These include visual and magnetic particle inspections before and after the load test, as well as photographic documentation of the testing process.
The testing and evaluation are performed by qualified personnel. If necessary, we also collaborate with certification and testing organizations such as DNV, Lloyd’s Register, TÜV, and DEKRA. In addition to DIN EN 13155, tests can also be conducted in accordance with other international requirements, such as NORSOK, ASME, or AS standards.
